Nice Foundation organized an Upazila-level Dialogue Meeting in Dumuria Upazila on 26 May 2025, engaging the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and representatives of the Upazila Parishad in a focused discussion on gender-based violence (GBV), gender norms, decision-making, and inclusive governance.
The dialogue aimed to: 🌸 Raise awareness about gender-based violence and its social impact 🌸 Encourage open discussions on gender norms and the socially constructed roles of women and men 🌸 Promote women’s participation in decision-making processes at all levels 🌸 Identify ways to ensure the inclusion of all—women, men, transgender persons, and persons with disabilities—in social, economic, and civic life
This interactive session brought together local stakeholders, including women leaders, youth representatives, social influencers, and duty-bearers, in a collective effort to promote gender equality and justice within Dumuria. Participants shared experiences, challenges, and suggestions to foster a more inclusive and safe environment for all.
