Today, on 30/11/22, Press Club Khulna hosted a quarterly meeting of Human Rights Protection Committee in Khulna Region on a completely voluntary basis with the support of Human Rights Culture Foundation. The meeting was hosted by Iffat Sania Nancy. The meeting was presided over by prominent journalist and convener of Khulna District Human Rights Protection Committee Gorang Nandi. The chief guests in the meeting were Mayor Talukder Abdul Khalek, Khulna City Corporation, Special Guest Mamun Akhtar, Bangladesh Betar, Khulna and Advocate Nasreen Mahmud. , Staff Liner, MSF. Also present at the meeting was Adv.Nahid Sams, Adv. Mominul Islam, Adv. Sahara Irani, Adv. Sammi Akhter, Lutfnesa Hira, Uttam Das, Palash Das, Jasmine Sultana, Afroza Sultana, Rekha Maria, Jebunnasa and Human Rights Protection Committee. Mr. M. Mujibur Rahman, founding director of Nice Foundation and secretary of Khulna District Human Rights Protection Committee gave a welcome speech at the meeting. Chief Guest Mr. Talukder Abdul Khaleq, Hon'ble Mayor, Khulna City Corporation said thanks to NICE Foundation because they are working on women rights, underprivileged children and protecting Hindu women rights. He also said, “Hindu women get share in her ancestral property. No but Hindu women get it in India. In this case Hindu men have to come forward and this law will be passed in our country.” Mamun Akhtar said, "Today we have to raise our voice in this regard. It will be implemented at this time."
